Take part in a new embroidery project with artist Elnaz & social anthropologist Rebecca. Are you encountering fertility issues and in the process of trying to conceive via assisted conception? Join us for a series of embroidery workshops ran by Elnaz as part of a PHD project in Social Anthropology where we will explore and represent your experience in stitch.

Flower Growing Group

A friendly, weekly gardening group exploring flower growing at Meanwood Community Centre.
Join local embroidery artist and gardener Elnaz Yazdani for a unique weekly community gardening group at Meanwood Community Centre.
Supported by Incredible Edible Meanwood and Stitch-Up CIC, this friendly group explores flower growing. Together, we will learn beginners' gardening skills while planting and maintaining a vibrant flower garden.
It is the perfect opportunity to learn something new, get outdoors, and connect with others in your local community. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced gardener, everyone is welcome!
Embroider With Nature

Combine nature with embroidery on this workshop with Embroidery artist and educator Elnaz Yazdani!
Experiment with dried flowers and natural colours to create your own unique piece of embroidery art, Elnaz Yazdani dries and collects flowers from her allotment, garden, and walks. You will learn a range of exciting hand embroidery stitches to apply these elements of nature onto natural fabric using beadwork and hand embroidery.
The workshop combines nature with embroidery in an experimental way. Allowing you to explore process, nature, and connection in your own time.
Experimental Embroidery with Elnaz Yazdani

This workshop offers a practical introduction to experimental hand embroidery, exploring how embroidery can be used as an artistic tool to express yourself, connect with others and improve wellbeing. The session will also examine how embroidery can serve as a methodology to engage communities and individuals in research projects, embellishing, transforming and connecting through stitch.
